What to Expect from your Sessions
Before your first appointment, we’ll arrange a brief phone screening. This is an informal discussion to understand the main reason you’re getting in touch, discuss the most suitable location for your sessions (usually your home), and highlight anything important for safety or planning. It also helps me ensure you receive the right support from the very start.
Your First Session:
Your one‑to‑one session lasts around 50–60 minutes. We begin with a detailed discussion about your current concerns, medical history, and what you’d like to achieve. Together, we’ll explore meaningful, realistic goals that matter to you.
Assessment:
A thorough physical assessment is then completed, tailored to your needs. This may include:
Functional assessment around your home
Range of movement
Strength and coordination
Balance and mobility
Everything is carried out at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
Your Personalised Plan:
All assessment findings are used to guide and agree a patient‑centred treatment plan. You’ll always be involved in the decision‑making, and we’ll work together towards goals that feel achievable and relevant to your daily life.
After Your Session:
You’ll receive clear advice, simple home exercises, and self‑management ideas to help you continue your progress between sessions.
